The Clayton Board of Aldermen recently sent a survey to 1500 households which asked for answers to questions about a dog park in Shaw Park. Clayton has been struggling with the issue of where to put a dog park for several years and option after option has been turned down. Now it appears as though the Shaw Park location may be getting closer to being selected.
The answers to the survey showed:
1. 50 percent of dog owners would be very likely to use and pay a permit for dog park usage.
2. 66 percent would personally financially support a dog park if private funds and donations were necessary.
3. 46 percent of households sampled said they owned at least one dog.
Now that sounds low to me, my impression of Clayton is that almost everyone has a dog. I hope they finally get the dog park constructed, there is a real desire here to have one.

Would be interesting to see, if this actually happens and how much people are willing to contribute.

Collinsville's should finally get more use after one of our fine young Boy Scouts put some agility equipment there.
