Big morning for movie buffs, the Oscar nominations were announced.
There are 10 nominations for best picture. Does this seem like a lot compared to other years? I seem to remember 5 being the traditional number of nominees.
And I'll confess without embarrassment, we haven't seen any of them, so it doesn't matter all that much to me how many or which ones they are.

I think they increased to ten beginning last year.
