I ordered Todd Kliman's new book, The Wild Vine: A Forgotten Grape and the Untold Story of an American Wine through Amazon yesterday after reading a synopsis in the Washingtonian Magazine. The book's release was to be today.
I just checked my order status and the book is already out for delivery to my house.
Amazon is amazing.

I ordered the book--from Random House. It's on backorder and cost $25 plus shipping. I cancelled my order, and placed one with Amazon--who has the book in stock! Thanks for the info about it. If our son ends up working in a Missouri winery this summer, he will impress folks if he knows something about Norton/Cynthiana!

Kathy, I hope he gets to work in a winery, what a great experience that would be.

As of this Saturday, he'll be "of age," too! He's looking forward to buying wine--to cook with! He is quite good in the kitchen. And, it will be good for him to work for someone other than his dad, which has been a good experience, but still...it's dad.

21! I absolutely remember him as a tiny baby at the Little Rock convention. Time flys.
