I received an email from Barack Obama today. Not president Obama, Barack Obama.
He or his campaign staff, this email sure looked like the 2008 campaign email, urges me to call Russ Carnahan's office "right now" to let him know how important his vote on health care will be.
Interesting that Carnahan is now deemed so important when he was no where in sight when the president was in St. Louis even though he was right here in St. Louis that night, not back in DC.
You can bet he will not be holding any more town hall meetings. Ed Martin(R) his opposition will win in Nov. When Dick Gephart held this seat and was one of the most powerful and influencial members of congress, he had tough races in this district. Russ Carnahan has limited ability to be an effective campaigner and congressman.
