Last week after Ferdie's yearly check-up, the woman who was adding up the bill asked if Ferdie could have a treat. Sure. She pulled out a treat from a bag I've never seen and Ferdie went wild. He walked on two feet all around the reception desk, front paws on the counter, begging for more of whatever that was.
I finally asked her "What was that?"
It was Butler Lean Treats.
The next day I went from store to store looking for these amazing dog treats, but never found them. At home I checked online and, hurray, there they were. It seems they are made mostly for veterinarians, but the company allows some pet food companies to sell online. I got them through Amazon, but Amazon's treats were sold through a third party-$15.99 for ten 4 ounce bags. Each bag holds quite a few treats.
These are small, soft, brown treats made of chicken without skin, no salt or other stuff.
This is just a head's up for anyone with a dog who gets a treat now and then. These things are amazing.
My box came today while Ferdie's dog friend Ogie was here. Ogie had the same reaction Ferdie did to these things. Jumping and begging and smiling for more.
