It looks like there will be a senate vote come Christmas Eve on the latest health care bill.
It's more than likely most Americans know something needs reforming when it comes to health care. I can think of a few things such as preconditions, tort reform, use of emergency rooms for reasons that should be done in a doctor's office, high cost of prescriptions, insurance companies making health decisions, lack of health care for many.
But, I'd wager most people aren't normally sick couldn't put their finger on what is currently wrong with the health care industry in order to suggest helpful changes which wouldn't break the national budget.
And, the senate bill, well, who the heck really knows what's in this 2000 plus pages? This morning we wake up to find that Senator Nelson has received all kinds of expensive perks for his support.
Every senator seems crabby, the republicans are doing their best to thwart this, the democrats with the help of the media are describing the republicans as obstructionists of a kind never ever before seen in senate history.
Just go home, take a breath, study the bill and come back in January ready to cool headedly debate it.
That means all of you in the senate.
