Actually at least two (that I know of) other communities had indicated an interest in housing the detainees. I guess they believe the detainees can be safely housed on US soil. With empty prisons they saw a chance for an economic boom, which is what rural NW Illinois will no doubt experience if this should happen. Sounds like a win for everybody.

Sounds like it would be better to house them in one of the hotels in San Diego, since occupancy rates are down.

Cute Ron. Actually average rates are down due to heavy discounting, but our occupancy has been up for 2 or 3 months.
If you want to take a trip to San Diego (or I imagine just about anywhere else in the U.S.) this would be the time to do it.

Anything to give terrorists anxious to kill Americans more rights, more comfort, more security, and more consideration. After all, even though they kill people for a living, they still deserve the best possible incarceration money can buy. I can't wait until the radical extreme Islamofacists' families and friends start quietly relocating to NW Illinois, right under our noses. Sounds like a perfect place to launch the next terrorist attack on innocent freedom-loving Americans.
