Collinsville's Festival of Trees 2008
The Festival of Trees has ended for another year. This is a lovely event, lots of people, beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, candlelight, music, food, wine, who could ask for more?
We were beside ourselves when we got to the Gateway Center ballroom and found that our Mizzou tree took third place. We loved the tree, but normally a spirit tree may bring a high bid but not a trophy. Hurray. How happy are we, Pat, Donna and me.
I'm going to miss that big tiger.
Here Pat and I hang on to the snow globe trophy.
Now that that is out of the way....Yippee, what else went on?
A steady stream of people going down the line of trees, bidding or checking the bid sheets.
A dim look at the stage with MC Mark Badasch at the podium.
An angel tree in memory of the two Uhl sisters.
Here's Pat and Dale during dinner. None of us could stop smiling over...Mizzou Rah!
This was a great surprise. Former Collinsville Schnuck's manager, John O'Donnell (on the right) came with his brother who lives in Millstadt. John left the Collinsville store about 3 years ago to work with Schnucks regionally and now covers the Memphis territory. So good to see him.
Chairman of Collinsville's Economic Development committee, Kevin Weinacht with Collinsville's Director of Community Development, Paul Mann.
Dale was having a great time tonight, here with Dorothy.
A look at the Grand Prize winner-Anderson Hospital
Ok. Just one more look and a goodbye to the tiger.

Looks like a great event!
