The laugher story of the day comes at the expense of Starbucks, the famous Seattle coffee purveryor, known for trumpeting environmental responsibility.
Seems the chain has a policy that requires each story to keep a water tap running all day.
Supposedly, a constant stream of water stops germs breeding in the pipes.
Starbucks has approximately 10,000 stores worldwide.





Sounds like an Al Gore policy for being green.

Yeah, its actually part of a cleanliness standard. If they didn't do that, the health department would be all over them for it. You act like they do it just to waste water. The running tap goes into a dip well and is used as a place to put spoons after holding back milk while making lattes.
