The area around the Chaifetz Arena on the St. Louis University campus is quite picturesque, as one our out of town friends said, everything looks so inviting and fresh.
It didn't hurt that St. Louis had almost perfect weather while hosting the debate.
The two Lutheran seminary presidents sat together last night.
Sarah Palin's arrival at Chaifetz Arena was attended by watchful, dare I say, grim, faces of her secret service detail.
And her family including the youngest daughter who seems to have taken to being on stage quite well.
It was a spirited debate, fun to watch. My impression was that by the time the debate was halfway through, Biden, in spite of himself, was smitten by Palin. He grinned from ear to ear, twinkle in his eye, probably without even being aware of it while realizing that, hey, this is getting really fun. At the end, they were friendlier adversaries than most of their supporters. As someone else wrote this morning, "Good Night Tina Fey."
