Wyoming will actually be holding their convention delegate election/caucus before New Hampshire? Yes they will. On Saturday. Everyone has the idea that New Hampshire is next up, but it's really Wyoming. Wyoming has generated so much excitement the candidates are phoning it in. "Paul Kruse, Niobrara County republican party chairman, said he has heard from nearly every candidate, either on the phone or through direct mail."
Nothing like a personal approach.

It's Republicans only; Dems meet in March. Can Wyoming have an effect on New Hampshire? Supposedly Thompson is considered one of the leaders in WY. If he wins, does that make him more viable in NH? And if so, this would be another instance of a small state (12 delegates being chosen) having undue influence on the no9mination process.

Small states have too much influence although I doubt whatever happens in Wyoming will even make the nightly news.
Thompson/McCain, those two need watching on the R side. On the D side, even though Clinton came in 3rd, she has a lot of money so it will probably be a two person race with Edwards dropping out or being a non-entity.

Yes, I think we lose Edwards after New Hampshire unless he does well and hopes South Carolina propels him back into the race. If somehow Obama wins N.H. that maybe be a lot of momentum. But I read recently somewhere that Bill Clinton lost both Iowa and New Hampshire in 1992.

I care what Republicans R doing because depending on the Rep nominee, the easier/harder time the Dem will have. Rand
