"We just saw the next president of the United States."
Rich Miller of Capitol Fax along with his intern and a friend live blogged Barack Obama's announcement speech in Springfield this morning. Go ahead over there and get a taste of the local atmosphere surrounding Obama.
Obama's new website. A rather interesting logo which appears to be the sun rising over a farm field which is itself the stripes of the American flag.

Still not sure if this is the beginning of something truly sensational or just the most over-hyped kickoff ever. It will be very interesting to follow in the coming year.
I don't know anything about Rich Miller, but judging by the responses to his post many in his blog world see it as something sensational.
Went to the Obama website, tried to add a personal prfile but the 'buttons' aren't working yet. Or maybe it's too busy.
Anyone know what happened to the P-D online yesterday? All I got last night was a small nasty looking un-smiley face in the upper left hand corner. Couldn't get the site to load at all.

Rand, I don't know about the P-D last night, it's working today, though.
Obama's new website must have a lot of things not linked as yet. I tried to find out where in Waterloo he was going to be tomorrow, but nothing came up. So they must be just getting it off the ground.

I got in but it's still is very slow/impossible to navigate within the site. You do realize that's Waterloo, Iowa, right?

Dang, I misread that. I thought Waterloo Illinois was an odd choice.

Who created Obama's great logo? The news is just out - it's Sender LLC, in Chicago.
