Up and out early this morning since there was nothing else to do, what with the power out and no newspaper delivery. Got some icy pictures.
Trees in our front yard are bent almost to the breaking point.
The path from the Concordia Seminary campus to DeMun reflects the hit the trees took last night.
Summer benches and picnic tables.
Saw the backyard pine tree hanging way down this morning and thought, "Whoa". This is bad. Then went back into the cold house. Normally a snowy day can be really fun and this one is just perfect for those flying saucer sleds or any sled with a flat bottom because the layer of crushed ice makes it fast and smooth sledding. Trouble is there is no place to go to warm up. Maybe Lowe's still has those outdoor firepits we can all gather round.

Diane, Your pictures remind me a bit of scenes from the movie Narnia. Hope you guys stay warm. Fort Wayne was spared of the snow, but we had plenty of rain and high winds.
