I plan to keep track of our Illinois senator Dick Durbin's public statements during the John Roberts SCOTUS confirmation process. Since Durbin was one of only 3 who did not vote to confirm JR for his present Appelate Court position, it seems like a fun idea to keep a close eye on him now. His first press comment doesn't disappoint, it's a laugher.
"Democrats would want to probe Roberts' views to see whether he holds ''mainstream values.''
"This is a different ballgame altogether," said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the minority whip and a member of the Judiciary Committee. "There are many different, more important questions that have to be asked."

I linked this. Should be fun to watch except Durbin makes us look so sad in Illinois. How in the world we could have elected this guy is beyone me, except I voted for him once which seems like another life... another world... it was.
