Others noticed his eccentric habits, including a desk crowded with action figures.
Florida Cracker was on top of this story and I'm sorry I missed this one, its right in my own back yard. A St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer has been suspended and his computer hard drive confiscated over comments he made in his own blog entitled: Rage, Anguish and Other Bad Craziness in St. Louis The Riverfront Times caught the story.
Stories of mainstream news reporters getting into trouble over what they write on their blogs is becoming more common, but this guy from St. Louis took on the Post's most sacrosanct yearly feature, The Year's 100 Neediest Cases.
He wrote in part: ..."I must admit I feel as if a good number of these needy cases could be avoided by a well-placed prophylactic."
Co-workers were mixed on their impression of this reporter with the paper's bigshots liking him and the younger staff "thinking him an idiot." "Others noticed his eccentric habits, including a desk crowded with action figures." He better use his new blogging publicity to get some ads on his site, he's going to need the income.
